Went to Rock Fish for lunch today. Hubby got the fried catfish and shrimp. Came with French fries coleslaw and hush puppies. Opted to get extra hush puppies instead of Cole slaw. All of it was fantastic. I had the red fish etoufee which came with jalapeño cheese grits and green beans. This was a very delicious lunch. We will be going back.

I will not be returning to Rockfish in McKinney. The food was disappointing, to say the least. My husband and I are from New Orleans, LA, so we know how Louisiana food should be prepared. I ordered the Jambalaya Pasta and it was not cooked. The sauce was loose, like soup and the sausage and vegetables were totally not cooked -- the sausage looked as if it was never placed on a grill or fried. The manager came out and apologized. I received the menu to place another order, so I ordered the gumbo. The shrimp added to the gumbo was undercooked. I asked for a dessert -- bread pudding -- then called it a night. Our waitress was great; however, the food experience was horrible!

Really, I feel Rockfish Seafood Grill is Underrated; John & Brett, whom my Fiancee & I have met on two different occasions respectively, were very Positive, Motivated, and very Pleasant to serve us at Lunch on both occasions! Brett, we met yesterday!I also had the opportunity to exchange an email with Steven Daniel, the General Manager, who responded to my email the same day; it was a very cordial experience and I look forward to meeting him on our next visit, which will be very soon!
