I’ve been buying boneless chicken rotis from Roti Roti Family Restaurant for over 20 years. The food has consistently been delicious, and I’ve always enjoyed the meals I’ve purchased here. That’s why I hate that my first review has to be a negative one. However, I feel it’s important to share this experience, as I suspect other long-time patrons may be noticing the same thing. On my most recent visit, I ordered two Large Boneless Chicken Rotis, which came to $42.00. For the first time, I experienced what I can only describe as “shrinkflation” — the portion sizes were noticeably smaller than what I’ve been used to over the years. The cost of the meal did not feel in line with the amount of food I received, and that was disappointing given my long history with this restaurant. I understand that costs are rising for everyone, including restaurants, but I hope Roti Roti will take a serious look at their portion sizes, especially for loyal customers who have supported them for decades. I’m hoping this was just a one-off experience. I plan to return in a few weeks to see if the portion sizes have been restored, and I would be happy to update my review if things improve.
