After a long walk around Winchester Cathedral, go to this bar and have a rest here. The staff is hospitable that's what makes Roxbury so good. The charming atmosphere will be really just what you need after a long working day. But google users rated this place and it didn't earn a high rating.

They don’t promote a safe atmosphere, especially when the security are noticeably drunk and flirting with women. Also limited drink options at the bar and Awful music, even on ‘themed’ nights.

Extremely aggressive door staff who drink on the job. Manager is highly inappropriate with staff and women in the venue. Won't be going back, terrible music and overall atmosphere

As a local resident who lives nearby, I was really looking forward to the Roxbury opening. I'm a strong supporter of independent businesses in Winchester and was really hoping this bar would be here to stay as it is always so sad when good independent places have to close for one reason or another. Sadly our evening there was ruined by an incredibly rude member of staff, who was insulting, arrogant and completely out of order. Will never be going back and would not recommend this to anyone wanting to enjoy a good night out. There are many more places to go in town that will give you warm winchester welcome.
