It's my first time to Royal Seafood Restaurant for lunch. My friend who lives in Richmond brought us here. Business is on the second floor, ambiance clean and bright, vast dining hall. At 11 am on Saturday, this place is packed solid with diners of families and friends for dim sum rendezvous. We ordered the traditional classics such as har-gow, siu-mai, beef meatball, dry scallop and shrimp dumpling and turnip cake. We added two steamed rice rolls, i.e. one with shrimp filling, and one with bean curd and fish paste filling. Plus a side dish Fried Tofu with minced Egg yolk toping. All dishes were cooked to order. First items to arrive were the (Cheong-fun) rice rolls, the Bean curd-fish paste roll was exceptionally inviting, with layers of flavors, the rice wrap itself was thin, silky and smooth, skillfully done. The shrimp roll is average plus. Soon the rest of the dim-sum dishes followed, every item were of good quality with the beef meatball exceeding expectations, nice texture , nicely seasoned with the fregance of dried orange peel which is normally ignored by lots of chefs. Side dish of fried tofu was mediocre, nothing exceptional. Whole meal was very relaxing and enjoyable, with attentive service and quality food, also price is reasonable. I will definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to visit this business again on our return trips!
