This was a very disappointing experience because we were not served all of our crab meat. My husband and I have really enjoyed the seafood we've eaten while traveling through Norway, so naturally, we were excited to try the famous king crabs, too! We browsed several restaurants in Kirkenes and settled on Salt because they had the best selection of live king crabs. Since it was our first night in Kirkenes, we bit the bullet and ordered a 2200 NOK king crab. Once we had ordered, the waiter informed us that it would be a 45 minute wait so we ordered an appetizer. I ordered two sushi rolls but the waiter said the one with king crab wouldn't be available until the next day so I got a different roll. The sushi rolls were great, but then the king crab arrived. The presentation was nice, the joints were separated and the shells were cut open. However, a lot of the shells were empty, we were missing a claw, and there was absolutely NO lump crab meat. We felt completely cheated of our money.Today we went on a crab safari and saw what meat from a whole crab looked like. We will never go back to Salt. But I am sure they have plenty of king crab for their sushi rolls now.....
