Sakurai is a cheap option for sushi with good quality. It sits right next to Soares dos Reis park and school and near the main Vila Nova de Gaia avenue. The service is great, servers are extremely nice and quick. The food is very good considering the price and has plenty of variety as well. In my opinion the food starts lacking on the noodles side, they look and taste quite cheap and careless but if you're only in for the sushi, there's no problem. Another issue can be parking but you do have some street parking and a paid parking garage nearby.
