Nice place. Staff are very helpful and it's good for English speakers, the food was great, the portions are a little small but overall it's worth it for the fine dining experience
I’ve eaten at a lot of different restaurants, good and bad, and this one is one I will remember. Finding this gem is confusing to say the least - it is located inside of an inconspicuous apartment building. The shabby-looking walls with long-expired paint made us question if this really was the fancy restaurant we had been reading about. But as we walked up the marble stairs towards the 1st floor we were greeted by a very nice waiter who took our jackets and showed us our table. The restaurant exists in a repurposed apartment, and they’ve done a phenomenal job of creating an appropriate atmosphere for their delicious food. White table cloths and live candles reassure you that it’ll fulfill your expectations. The menu is how I wish all menus would look like. It’s small, small enough to fit on an A4 paper with plenty of space to spare. The chef won’t waste your time by putting dishes on the menu that are not delicious. Of course we didn’t try every dish, but I feel confident that each one is up to the same standard. They did an outstanding job with the Foie Gras that I ordered. It was served with multiple different condiments, each making it a different (and of course delicious) experience. My partner had the duck, which was just as good, cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor. The wine they served with (according to my inexperienced tastebuds) was top-quality, it really added a lot to the dinner. We preferred the panna cotta over the tiramisu, with its fresher, more acidic tones. We weren’t overly impressed by the appetizers, I had the Tagliatelle al ragu, and my partner had the Cappelletto which she considered undercooked, but this was still one of our absolute favorite restaurants that we’ve been to!We also enjoyed the music a lot, even though it was somewhat inconsistent, swapping between dance music, swingy jazz and slow and romantic. We did notice a pattern though - it seemed to always contain saxophone! :)If we get the chance to, we will happily return to the restaurant to try some more of its dishes. We already recommended it to several people. Thanks for giving me and my girlfriend such an amazing evening. The only bad memory from Salon 5 is that I should have tipped more. Thank you!
