Jeff, our server, really made the experience at Salty Sow top notch. We arrived to the restaurant towards the end of the evening, and was expecting a server to just get us in + out as quickly as possible. However, Jeff was attentive, personable, and made great wine recommendations. He also insisted that we try the Banana Fosters Beignet, but we were too full from the meal. Highly recommend the Chicken Liver Mousse (they bring out more baguette if needed) and the Roasted Beet + Goat Cheese Salad. Oh, and the Maple Old Fashioned -- will hit you upon the first sip, but very delicious. Also, be sure to check out their Happy Hour menu. Lots of great dining options to pick from, and $2 off cocktails.
Wow.... just wow. Great food! We just had dinner there and sat by the kitchen. The place is humming with great energy from the kitchen, wait staff and the customers. This is where upscale dining meets American cuisine. You get the impeccable service of an upscale restaurant without the coat and tie...(I wore a coat, but that is just me..) We the marrow bones, triple duck fat fried fries, and the Spanish octopus as starters. All of which were incredible. Then entrees.. petite bone in filets with cheesy grits, 2 wagyu burgers and crispies chicken thighs with brussel sprouts and mushrooms. ALL were delicious! We started at 7:20 and left at 9:30 or so. And we were never rushed or felt rushed.. It was a great evening of food, conversation and family. Thank you for a memorable evening! Oh.. ya gotta get dessert when you are there..
By far the best food I have had in Austin. Came again for the boyfriends birthday and this time we decided to try all new things  (besides the bone marrow of course it was too good) he got the petite filets with mushrooms on top and wow that was some super flavorful delicious steak. So yummy. I had the crispy chicken that was by far the best chicken I've ever had in my life. Juicy and tender and loaded with yummy rosemary flavor I'm ordering that every single time I come here it was just incredible. For dessert we had a banana beignets and wow wow wow. I also had to try the chocolate truffle cake and THAT WAS THE BEST CHOCOLATE CAKE IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! Seriously the best. This restaurant  has incredible chefs and the staff are great too
