Enjoy Jack London Square and come to this restaurant. The menu of Vegetarian cuisine is to the pleasure of all visitors here. From the guests' point of view, the unagi don is good here. Many reviewers highlight that you can have delicious cider or good beer at Salvage Hausu.

Ordered 3 rolls. All were amazing. Dozens of craft beers and ciders. Couple of old school games for the wait with old school 25¢ cost and tons of pinball. Really cool and the vegan rolls were flat out incredible. Large rolls for the cost as well. It has a very local vibe for the proximity to jack london. Glad sourly vegan was closed today so I could give it a shot!

Salvage Hausu is located towards downtown Oakland and near Broadway Street in California. They are known for making 100% vegan Japanese food including Japanese snacks and of course sushi. They are currently jointed up with Crooked City Cider Tap house which is a Brewery that sells wine, beer, non-alcoholic drinks, etc. I really liked the joint because it was 100% Vegam and when I found out about the place, I just had to check it out. Overall, this place is vegan friendly and the food was delicious! I started with their appetizers/snacks and I got their Sambal Impossi-ball with Tonkatsu Sauce and house made togarashi and Griddled Bok Choy with Preserved Yuzu. The bok choy had a really nice flavor. It was very tender and the flavor hits you in the mouth. I really liked the bok choy and trust me, they don't make it boring. Their sambal impossi-ball with tonkatsu Auden was pretty good. The umami flavors were there but I felt the balls were a bit dry and weren't the moistest. I wish it was more moist inside the ball but I ate it anyway because the vegan ball was packed with flavor. Overall, I enjoyed those two appetizers. The sushi rolls I got were the Rainbow Roll, Unagi Roll, and the Hella Cali Roll. My favorite had to be the Unagi roll the best because the flavor of the egg plant was so delicious and that avocado gave the roll some fat which I really loved. The "eel" sauce created a really nice umami flavor that was so delicious that I want more of that sauce. The rainbow roll had red beet, mango, avocado, cucumber topped with sprouts. I loved the flavor combination of the sweet and savory with the beet and mango. I felt the flavors really worked well with each other and the roll was very flavorful. It had every element of flavor on the roll but the sauce drizzled on top, I felt it didn't add anything and there was no distinct flavor in the sauce that I couldn't pinpoint. For me, I would have either left the sauce out or find a way to bring out the sauce. For me, I loved the flavors of the roll but the sauce was a bit of a miss. The hella Cali roll had tofu, avocado, and cucumber and this one is basically a classic California roll except with no crab but tofu. I found the tofu pretty flavorful and normally, tofu is very plain. I loved the substitution of crab and instead, they put tofu, I thought that was very clever. The flavors of the Cali roll you find are very classic and what you should taste in a Cali roll but better because it's vegan! Loved the newly invented Cali roll, thought they did a really nice job! The spicy tuna poke was so delicious! The "tuna" is actually watermelon and this poke bowl had all of the flavors a regular poke bowl should have in a vegan bowl. I feel like there are not enough vegan poke bowl options these days so I feel this place delivers on their poke! Those umami flavors in the poke bowl were really delicious and I couldn't stop eating it because it was so flavorful! I think this was my favorite dish haha! This place took the cake when it came to an all vegan Japanese eatery! I'm so happy I found this place so much! I can't wait to try more things on the menu because it was very delicious! Please support this business and help their mission that vegan food can taste delicious!
