Very nice food and restaurant. It is located in the old town. It has authentic taste in their food. Restaurant is quite small. Price is bit higher but quantity of food is very good. Staffs are nice. Highly recommend it.
Rally good thank you!
The Sambal Restaurant is a restaurant located in the heart of Warsaw Old Town. Very easy to find through google maps.
As you step your foot into the restaurant, you are welcomed by the Indonesian traditional setting, a beautiful combination of wooden interiors with an Indonesian touch of course. Indonesian traditional instruments are played faintly, making the atmosphere like being in Indonesia.
The waitress is very friendly, mastering knowledge about information about this food, caring and asking customers if the food is good and everything is fine.
Regarding the food ...
The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouth-watering starters followed by the main course, specifically designed for everyone that is new to the Indonesian cuisine and could create a great impression that would be unforgettable.
I had Beef Rendang or Slow cooking beef in coconut milk with aromatic herbs served with rice and vegetables.
My boyfriend tried Ayam Betutu Bali or Steam chicken in banana leaf with Balinese herbs served with rice and vegetables.
They are very beautiful, very rich in flavor, full of refreshing spices. Proper choice of beef, spice mix, control of heat, cooking duration, and stirring technique affect the taste of rendang. Same as the chicken betutu, my boyfriend really likes it and he said it his favorite Indonesian food since he never found food full of spices and very tasty like here.
It was all followed by Kolak Pisang Nangka or Banana and jackfruit in coconut milk. We really like this hot dessert, it's delicious and creamy.
Everything is delicious to the fullest, I deliberately came from Switzerland to Warsaw for only 1 day, just to eat at the sambal restaurant and I was satisfied with the great hospitality they offered. All the people who work here are very friendly and kind, I met and had little conversation with Chef Sahnil that directly from Indonesia. He's a humble person and also great chef, with all the authentic recipes he uses leaves a strong taste.
His magical hand creates great food and left a great impression. If we visit Warsaw again, we will definitely come here again.
Thanks Sambal Restaurant, Chef Sahnil and Team.
Keep the Good Work !
Your food tasty to the fullest.
