San Francisco History Room and Archives is a great attraction for tourists who come to eat at this restaurant after long walks. The menu of Korean cuisine is to the pleasure of all guests here. Most guests recommend trying perfectly cooked hamburgers, meatloaf and cobb salads. Try good brioche toasts, French pancakes and apple pie. You will be offered delicious wine, draft beer or whiskey. Order the great cappuccino, fresh juices or ice tea served here.
SAM's Diner is suitable for visitors who have supper on the go as they can order dishes as a takeout. Most reviewers find the staff friendly. Came to Sam's American Eatery after noting its amazing breakfast deal for Restaurant Week! For $15, Sam's provided avocado toast with your choice of 1 of 3 entrees. I will admit the avocado toast was more of a scrambled egg toast with a schmear of avocado but it was still really good! The eggs were a soft scramble and soooo creamy! I also liked the pop of flavor from the cilantro - divisive, I know! But it worked! The spring mix was also freshly tossed and I loved the pops of acidity from the tomatoes and the freshness of the cucumbers! For mains, my friend and I ordered one set with the pork belly benedict and the other with the chicken and waffles. Both were delicious, but I think the chicken and waffles edged the benedict just a bit. The benedict's base was essentially a giant tator tot and it was so good with the unctuous pork belly and creamy egg yolk and lemony hollandaise spilt over it. I wished (because the base was already potato) that the side would not be potato but life could be worse. Carbs are always delicious and the home fries were done perfectly. For the chicken and waffles, the chicken was perfect! It was seasoned just right with a perfectly crispy exterior and an exceptionally juicy interior! The waffle looked a little overdone on delivery but upon cutting into it, I was very pleasantly surprised by its light crispy exterior and fluffy interior. I did think the whipped cream didn't quite fit with the plate and would have preferred something more punchy like a pickle but overall, it was a delicious plate! Note, for restaurant week the entrees are definitely scaled down a bit but the two portions together are more than filling in my opinion! We also noted that the rest of the menu featured a lot of vegetarian options! We later found out from the owner that he purposefully wrote them in after the only vegetarian restaurant on the block had closed due to Covid. He wanted to ensure that previous patrons of that restaurant would still have a place to eat now and I LOVE that sentiment! I highly recommend Sam's! You should probably take transit here though - parking can be rough!
