**CLOSED** this restaurant is no longer operating. We made reservations weeks ago for 4/13/22 and were still receiving reminder emails etc. We showed up and it was dark and locked. The front desk staff of the hotel said they closed the prior month.

Our party came here last month and this review has been weighing on my mind ever since. First, I would like to give this establishment a 2.49 star review and I'm rounding down to bring some honesty to what I perceive is an inflated score currently. The title of this review is "Tomatoes, and Garlic... oh my!!" If that doesn't hint at what is to come, let me just say that every dish we shared that evening came with one, if not both, of these ingredients. Every. Dish. Okay, except the bread (which was honestly some of the best bread at a restaurant so order a few loaves). Octopus salad was one of the highlights here, obviously garlic is prominent but it works and the octopus was thinly sliced and tender. After this, things declined. The Hawaiian Opah dish and Puttanesca were heavily cooked in garlic and tomatoes. I don't know what is "Hawaiian" about that preparation or the need to overpower the ingredients of each dish but it was just too much. The biggest disappointment here is the wine though. Branding yourself a "wine bar" means you should be caring about your wines, properly serving them and storing them. This evening we ordered three bottles of various red wines, when asked about them we received the generic "oh yes, it's good". No notes, no asking our preference, not even checking with what we ordered to make sure it's a match. The coupe de grace is each bottle we ordered came warm. This is Hawaii, not France.. room temperature wine in Hawaii is NOT how you should be storing or serving red wines. We had to add an ice cube to our red wines at a "wine bar" to chill them down to be passable for temperature. The establishment's name is a bit deceptive, I'm not even sure why they say "Spa" in their name either. Anyone know?  The "Wine Bar" is an exaggeration based on our experience.   The name would lead a diner to have one set of expectations only to be disappointed as we were with overpowering tomatoes and garlic flavors and warm red wine which leaves us with the final review rating: 2.49 stars (rounded down).
