After enjoying Full Throttle Speedway, it may be a nice idea to visit this confectionary restaurant. It's time to relax and eat nicely cooked broth and tasty pies. You can have good sundaes, banana split and brownie batter at Scammell's Corner Surf Shop & Ice Cream Parlor. Visit this place and try delicious root beer. You will be offered great milkshakes, iced coffee or cappuccino.
Choose between indoor and outdoor seating. The accommodating staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. Fabulous service is a strong point that plays a great role for the success of this place. Tasty food at democratic prices are offered here. Read about Scammel's as being one of the top ice cream shops in the Outer Banks on trip advisor. It was really good! I had the cookie versus peanut butter and the blueberry cheesecake ice cream which was tasty. My friend had the caramel cheesecake cookie monster which was awesome! My other friend had the cookies and cream which she really liked. You have the option to get a brownie on the bottom of your ice cream for an added cost. I was being a fat boy and did it! Haha Cool atmosphere right across the street from the beach!

This was my third or fourth trip back to the OBX and I don't know how it took me so long to find this place! This place is awesome. COVID: they require masks and that's clear from the multiple signs from the outside. They regulate the flow by making everyone enter one door and exit a different door. They have tons of tape marking to help maintain six feet away. They eliminated all indoor seating and provided plenty of outdoor seating. there's only one employee working and always masked. Service: both times we went had really nice staff. They answered all of our questions kindly and offered more info. They also separate nuts from everything else which was super nice for my friend who is allergic to peanuts. Ice cream: I ordered the extreme sundae double scoop. They allow two diff flavors for the double scoop. It comes with hot fudge, whipped cream, cherry, and chopped nuts. The ice cream is all Hershey brand, so it's super creamy. They have soooo many different flavors too!
