Very disappointing experience at Seto. The hostess was cold and dismissive from the moment we arrived — no welcome, no eye contact, just dropped the menus and walked away. The food took a long time, and the tea was served in a chipped cup. When we asked for a replacement, it was taken without a word and returned in a shabby cup. The bill was handwritten and difficult to understand. When I asked for the discretionary service charge to be removed due to the poor service, the manager told us we would not be welcome back if we didn’t pay it. I’ve lived in London for over 10 years and have never experienced this. A discretionary charge is optional, and this reaction was unprofessional. Would not return. Price per person: £60–70

We had a wonderful meal at Japanese Restaurant Seto in Camden. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The food was simple, authentic, and full of flavor. You can really tell the care that goes into each dish. Sadly, we heard that the restaurant might be closing soon. We truly hope that is not the case, as this place is a gem and we would love to come back! Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
