Love this restaurant! What a hidden gem. We've eaten there a few times and thoroughly enjoyed each time. The food is so interesting and yummy and the restaurant is small and peaceful, so easy to hear conversations.
Cup Day weekend lunch. Intimate, quiet, romantic winery restaurant with stunning views from all tables. Great place to go if you want to escape the crowds at some of the bigger commercial wineries. We had the share tasting plate which had a good selection of cured meat, seafood and dip. The house made bread was lovely, but tiny! The barramundi was cooked perfectly with a good crispy skin and nice accompaniments. The kangaroo steak was tender and had a good jus. I’m not personally a fan of kangaroo, but I believe this was a good version of it. The ‘salad’ dessert was a great light finish to our meal. The highlight of the dessert was that delectable coconut sorbet. I could have eaten a whole bowl of it. The chardonnay was decent, but the semillon was a bit too acidic for my liking. The only downside was that the owner who served us was not too impressed that we had a Groupon voucher. She scolded me for not telling her that I had a voucher at the time of my booking. However, once she got that off her chest she was pleasant enough for the rest of the meal.
