Really bad food. Ate here twice due to staying in the hotel but will not the mistake again. Bland, unflavorful food. Staff busy and not attentive. 18% Gratuity already added. I had a meal at Shutters and nachos at the towel hut. I am not sure how they even made these items - I could only take 2 bites of the nachos, they were terrible.

Perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. With the sounds of the ocean playing in the background partnered with the sounds of a local musician, this place will bring out the romantic in you. I recommend sitting outside. The service was top notch and our server Gina was amazing! The food was a bit pricey but very much delicious and I will be back.

We stayed at the Kauai Beach Hotel & Spa for a week. For dinner, on the 11th of November, we decided to go downstairs and eat at the Shutters Lounge. This lounge is located on one side of the complex. We ate outside near the fire pit and next to a bush. The weather was getting feisty and it was getting windy so the bush helped to shield the airflow. We looked at the menu and both decided to try the fish & chips with mahi-mahi. It was lightly battered, very tasty, light and well prepared. I also ordered a KBR Sunset drink which includes hibiscus/lime syrup, pineapple and soda. It was refreshing, tart and sweet. If you get one make sure you mix it because the ingredients are poured separately. If you don't I guarantee you will get all the tartness from the bottom of the glass.
