We loved this place and came back many times - always lots of tasty options. We appreciated all the choices featuring the tiny but mighty anchovy. At 2€ the house red was delicious. I think hitting this early offers the freshest selection possible - and sets a good standard as you make your way around all the tapas joints in the area.
One of my favourite spots in San Sebastian. Great pintxos and friendly staff. My favourite is the croissant with blue cheese and jam, I waited two years to return to have this again and was delighted to still see it on the countertop! Turns into a bar with music at night, has a restaurant at the back which is good and also serves decent cocktails.
Great meal at Sirimiri - the food was fantastic, bar is a decent size, but the service was a bit weird. Food - they had great octopus, the iberian pork shoulder was tender and delicious, and steak tartare was also great. Jamon was ok, as were the grilled anchovies. Overall great food and prices were very reasonable. Service was a bit weird - our server had trouble understanding us (in Spanish and English), even when the dishes and drinks we named were right off the menu. We had to point to the items we wanted on the menu and drinks especially took a long time. But wasn't a huge deal here.
