Having seen Vulkan Neighbourhood, it's time to have a rest at this bar. Spanish cuisine provides authentic meals at Smelteverket. Many people visit this place to try good tapas, bacon and salads. Nice beers. Great location next to the river. Very expensive travelling from the UK at roughly £20 for a beer and a wine.

A "secret" place, access via a small set of stairs clinging on to the side of Mathallen on the end by the bridge across Akers Elva (the stream running through the area).Longest bar in northern Europe, they claim, and an impressive selection of international craft beer.I like this place :-)

Smelteverket donated delicious soup to an oslo soup event that they also kindly hosted. It was one of our best events, very cosy on a winter sunday afternoon. I recommend going there for the whole package: food, drinks and vibe !
