Sokyo is a Japanese inspired restaurant with a Sydney influence. Located at The Star Sydney, Head Chef Chase Kojima and his team produce some of the best dishes I have ever experienced ????⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
If you ever wanna experience fine dining, Sokyo is a must! This place has the best Japanese food that I have ever experienced, everything was ridiculously fresh and amazing ????⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
In order of photos, is what we had ordered: ⁣⁣⁣
• Sashimi platter - 24 pieces of the chefs choice. Honestly I was never the biggest fan of raw fish, up until that day. It expanded my food choices because everything was super fresh and, soft ????⁣⁣⁣
• Edamame beans - steamed and salted. My favourite thing to eat before and in between eating Japanese food. ⁣⁣⁣
• Bay bug tempura - this was crazy good!!! The batter wasn't too thick, was super crispy and the meat was soft. Dipped into that spicy mayo an amazing combo! ⁣⁣⁣
• Beef robata (front) - this wagyu tri-tip with BBQ teriyaki was yummy too, especially with that glaze. ⁣⁣⁣
• Pork robata (back) - ONE OF MY FAVES. The meat was soooo soft that it slid off the stick and melted in my mouth when I ate it. I barely had to chew ????⁣⁣⁣
• Scallop - another one of my faves!!! I love scallops so this was a MUST order hehe. The nori butter, tosaka, asparagus and crispy nori completed this whole dish. I wanted more!!!⁣⁣⁣
• Tempura Roll - one of the best sushi rolls I have ever had. The tempura were perfectly balanced and the spicy aioli gave it a little kick ????⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I also ordered the 'Peachy Boyz' cocktail which I forgot what was in it, but it was good too. Went well with what I was eating and was pretty to look at ????????⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Their service, as expected was amazing. They changed our plates after every dish and always checked up on us if we were enjoying everything. ⁣

Can't wait to come back again, I think I've discovered a new found love for fine dining. Which may or may not be a good thing ????
I like the breakfast. Service is good.
