Sotto Mare, located in North Beach, is famous for its crab cioppino. The cioppino is made with plenty of crab, shrimps, mussels, clams, octopus, squid, penne, and so on. The tomato-based soup is richly flavored with seafood stock. It's a lot even for two people, so make sure you are hungry before visiting the location. All ingredients are cooked to perfection. Considering that the best cooking time varies depending on the ingredients, I suppose that it takes a lot of time to make this masterpiece. It may be said that it is the No. 1 cioppino in San Francisco. The price is not reasonable. However, at this price, quality, and quantity, I believe that satisfaction prevails.
