16.08.2020. Tonight I had the best meal I have ever had in Hamburg. It was absolutely fantastic. The Spanische Treppe Restaurant is a fusion of Spanish and Middle Eastern quisine that is a fusion made in heaven. From the fantastic Shrimp in Garlic Chilli oil to the Argentinian Steak with a salad that is just a taste explosion. Black and green olives in a herb dressing were excellent. Rounded by a heavy Spanish Red, it was a dream. The highlight was the Crema Catalana. A beautiful vanilla cream with a hearty crust of caramelised sugar, complimented with a Coffee and a liquer. I am a very very fussy eater. I cannot fault the food or drink. The guys working there deserve a medal for running a marathon during the day with the workload of an overflowing restaurant . That shows how good it is, The atmosphere on the Alster Canal on a sunny August evening made this altogether a very special memory. Thank you all at Spanische Treppe.

Great Location. Friendly Staff! Too bad the City makes it so difficult for them to be avle to operate all year long.
