Best steak in the city. I like mine with provolone and raw onions when I'm trying to change it up from the usual fried onions with American.

$12.54 for a prov' wit. Free peppers and ketchup. Indoor and outdoor seating available.  Quick friendly service. Parking is not too bad...but it is street parking unless you park across of Cottman at the mall. Cash only. Tips appreciated.  Kinda wish I got more for my $ but still a tasty steak. They don't chop up the meat...instead they layer it into the ambrosia roll.  Oops...this review is for the location near the Roosevelt  Mall.

I made a midnight stop into this location with some friends to try Steve's Prince of Steaks for the first time. The line was to the door and we had to wait about 10 minutes to order. We found some seats after ordering. It was difficult to find a clean place to eat... the floors were a little sticky and the tables were messy and filled with crumbs. It was pretty loud inside since at least half of the people inside already had at least five drinks in them. I can't complain about the cleanliness too much - given it was a Saturday night, but they could've done a better job cleaning tables for people. After receiving my cheesesteak, I knew it was going to messy. This is going to be one of the messiest cheesesteaks you will eat. They just pour the liquid cheese on top and there's no way to avoid using less than five napkins. My initial bite I thought the steak was pretty good. They use slices of steaks. I wasn't too happy with the mix of the cheese with the steak and how sloppy it was. I have a few friends who are in love with Steve's Prince of Steaks, so this was a must try. With how dirty the restaurant was and how messy it was to eat the cheesesteak, I probably wouldn't go back to this location. I'd consider giving the cheesesteak another try, but at another one of their locations.
