We booked a meal for eight of us on Jan 17th 2026 after the miss siagon show in Bord Gais. Firstly they hadn't got our booking but accommodated us after a little wait. The first notable thing was the really poor service. It was very obvious from the start that they had a lot of new waiting staff that were very poorly trained. All the staff that served us had little understanding of English and we had to repeat ourselves several times to make sure they got the correct orders. Two of our party were coeliacs and we had to explain this and wait until they checked with a manager every time we asked about it. Eventually they brought a supervisor over who was able to explain what was gluten free. To be honest we felt so sorry for the young staff that seemed out of their debt. Eventually when the food arrived, it was all right but just all right. For such a well known hotel the food was very average and disappointing, plain and very low standard. I would not recommend this to anyone unless overall standards improved. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €40–50 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 Dietary restrictions: Very poor understanding of coeliac ( gluten free) and offered us a list of allergy tables that would have put the responsibility on the customer to critique every ingredient in every dish. I refused to do this as the restaurant should have a very simple and quick answer to very simple questions.

We had a lovely evening in Stir restaurant! Amazing staff who were very attentive and friendly, and the food was superb. Would highly recommend!
