The Limerick Strand Hotel was fantastic. It was our first place to stay when visiting Ireland as we were moving around a lot and it truly spoiled us! The service was attentive, the rooms were large and were great for families. Everyone had their own bed! The views of the Shannon really set the scenery, and the location was excellent. The breakfast had a lot of variety and everyone was able to find something. Sadly our stay was so short we weren't able to make use of all of the amenities the hotel offered. If we ever make it back to Limerick I wouldn't even bother looking at any other hotels as The Strand is the one. The Strand might have set the bar far too high as every other hotel we stayed at on our trip never came close even though they were all similar in ratings and price points.
