It is now closed. It was a cool place with mediocre food
Not surprised that this is now closed, we were there on Saturday and our experience was extremely pool. A $114 tab for a dinner for 2 that was less than good. The restaurant was our of buns, hamburger patties, coke. Took over 15mins for a drink and over 35 for appetizers. Not the best experience for that amount paid.
Having recently moved to Plano from Los Angeles my wife and I were looking for a quality local restaurant for date night and man did Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen deliver! We couldn't have been happier with the menu variety, our server Shannon who was a total pro, the room and the energy. When we experience a new restaurant we always share a few items to get a feel for the Chef's use of ingredients and flavors. Tonight we tried the Zucchini Hush Puppies, the Crab Cake and the BBQ Prime Brisket-Cheddar Enchiladas. My wife also enjoyed her Bee Sting with it's hint of jalapeno. Having just returned from Maryland on business it really wasn't fair to order the crab cake but it was actually very good. The hush puppies on the other hand were amazing! The perfect combo of crispy outside and tender inside with a delicious green chili harissa sauce which looked like pesto but had a subtle kick to it. By far our favorite menu item was the BBQ Prime Brisket-Cheddar Enchiladas with cilantro rice and black beans. I would come back just to have this again! The mole  sauce and crema was amazing! I seriously haven't had a mole that good since Javier's on PCH in Laguna Beach, CA. We will undoubtedly be returning in the very near future to explore more of the menu, the Sugarbacon, the atmosphere and we can easily see ourselves becoming regulars. Thank you for a great Date Night  Sugarbacon!
