I didn't want to write this because they were actually really nice, but I feel like people need to know the food here is NOT good. My calamari taco was an untoasted small flour tortilla with unseasoned grilled squid and too much cabbage. It was mostly flavorless, except for the flavor of the unwashed grill. The artichoke burrito was decent, but it could have been great with a little work. My partner's seafood burrito was awful. The scallops and squid again only had the flavor of the dirty grill, too much cabbage and black beans (the only beans they have—a weird choice), bagged shredded cheese ruined by the starch they put in to keep it from sticking, and the whole thing was a sloppy mess that soaked through the tortilla by the third bite. We asked for a beef burrito to replace the inedible seafood burrito, and it also just tasted like dirty grill and no seasoning. Again, I didn't want to write this. I like the people there. But I really feel like a lot needs to change, and I wish I had seen an honest review before I spent over $30 per person here. We are on vacation and I wanted fish tacos after looking for several minutes we found this taqueria, this place is excellent! Best tacos, I tried fish, shrimp, crab and scallops tacos wow simply wow! Honestly I can’t choose one they were delicious. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Taqueria Del Mar is second to none. It's small and unassuming, but I've been coming here for 20 years. Food has always been of excellent quality. Artichoke burrito and fish tacos are a must try. Would give 10 stars if I could. I stop by anytime I find myself in the area and you should too.
