We're so glad we had made a reservation for lunch here. It's great to do a wine tasting along with food, because both taste better together. The raw fish carpaccio was delightful with a soy cream drizzled with lime juice/oil. Fried eggplant was a tasty, crunchy dish atop hummus sprinkled with seeds and spices. The beef carpaccio was also heavenly with a pile of fresh shaved cheese on top, and a lovely cream base. We also shared a cheese plate that was piled with a number of sides and spreads. Service was very friendly and informative. An excellent way to spend a couple of hours! The wines were probably the best we tasted on Waiheke (compared to Tantalus, Casita Miro, Man O' War, Mudbrick and Stonyridge).

There is 4 vineyards in the area but no regrets with Te Motu!! Our very first ever Vineyard and it was super amazing! Thomas really made the afternoon and was so kind ! 30$ FOR 4 wines per person and the camberat cheese board was SO YUM !! My favorite was the Kokoro wine . The feeling was literally perfect, and I hope to return some day

Te Motu vineyard ( it means: “the island” in aboriginal language) is located in Waiheke island, New Zealand. You can easily get there by line bus, the bus stop is literally at the entrance of the property, from where you can enjoy a nice walk of around 10 minutes in the middle of stunning views and vine plantations, to arrive to The Shed, the restaurant in situ. You can just walk in and have a wine tasting that includes 4 wines for a super reasonable price of $20. Some snacks are available or you can plan have dinner. Thanks Freddy for your generosity sharing all your passion and good information about the wines we were testing, we had a great time. I recommend.
