Went to The Baron on Monday 28 October 2024. We ordered the Tomahawk steak, which was first brought out too rare, we asked the waitress to get it abit more medium, it than came back too burnt. We could get the charred taste, there was also extra sides that we ordered on this plate. The manager than comes to the table and we explain that the meat is charred, he than takes the plate and doesn't come back. The waitress than gives us R100 discount. We were not even asked if we still wanted to have our sides. We struggled to cut through the steak and even said this to the waiter. 60% of the meal was taken without the manager even advising us. We also ordered a burger which was perfect but the teak was a big disappointment. This was a birthday supper and we choose The Baron over Grillhouse yet it was such a disappointment, Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: R 300–350 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Gourmet Burger

A great restaurant with a decent food menu mostly consisting of meat and chicken dishes. The drinks menu is also good with the cocktail lineup offering 2 variants (basic and premium). The atmosphere is generally quiet in comparison to most other restaurants with background soundtrack of 80s pop and rock music. The pricing is not expensive but also not on the lower end, but certain food items are more than well priced for what you receive. The beef carpaccio is a favourite starter and done really well with a decent portion to go with it (good size for 2 persons). Overall, a great experience. It was a great experience; the food served quicker, hot, fresh & crispy. I've enjoyed my meal and would come back again. All waiters mind customers' business, whatever help you might if the waiter allocated to serve you is still held up somewhere, they step in & help you. It was something I liked there, the Baron Kyalami is the best.
