Great drunken noodles. Lunch specials are not expensive and you get quite a bit. It's a great to-go lunch spot with food ready in 15 minutes.
Decided to try this place out with my boyfriend on a Saturday night. Arrived at 8:00 and saw that it was pretty packed so we went across the street for a drink and came back at 8:45 P.M. Noticed that there was only one other table in the restaurant. The host asked if we wanted to order for take out but we chose to dine in. We were greeted quickly and decided to order appetizers, drinks and our entrees all at once. After previously working as a server I understand how annoying it can be when someone walks in right before close. Now mind you, this place closes at 10:00 P.M. Once we received our entrees all the workers came out into the dinning area and were sitting around counting their money and staring at us. At 9:15, they all started putting on their jackets and just continued to stare. Our server never came back to see if we needed anything else or a refill on our drinks. We felt so uncomfortable that we just asked for our check and to-go boxes. Immediately after putting my food in the box one of the workers comes over in her fuzzy winter coat and snatches the plate away as well as our water cups. Once we paid and wrote our 20% tip our server rushed over in her jacket, took it off the table, walked back to all the workers and counted everything out. We took our food and walked out with not a single goodnight or thank you. Before we could even get out of the door you could hear it being locked behind us. We were in the car at 9:40. Again, I would understand if this was a Monday/Tuesday night and they wanted to close early but a SATURDAY NIGHT at 9:15 and you are rushing customers out in that manner is HIGHLY disrespectful. The food was pretty good but really can't judge because I had to scarf it down. So word of advice: if you want to dine here make sure you come in at least 3 hours before the closing time or you will be rushed out and made feel like you are wasting all the workers time.
After shopping we decide on eating some sushi, but it had to be somewhere new. Which lead me and my girlfriend to go and try the new The Basil Leaf Sushi & Thai restaurant. Once we arrived it was smaller than expected, which small sometimes has its advantages. First, I knew right off I would not like my experience because of the glass tabletops. Every time I set something down and hear the sound of glass hitting glass or other objects makes me cringe, feels like it's going to shatter any second. The tablecloths which should be the only thing needed on the tables and replaced after each customer has eaten, ours had food spot on it, hence glass tabletops. We thought about asking our less than enthused waiter, who was clearly never trained and very nonchalant. We agreed why fuss, let's just end a happy day.... happy!  We order crab rangoon and sushi. First thing that comes out was the hot and sour soup and a spring roll. Now we did ask for this and was not informed about it, but it came with the meal..... okay. The hot sour tasted like neither and it was cold. Before I could finish a spring roll that was good here comes the crab ragoon.  We tried the ragoon it was good had better, what was really lacking was the timing cause here comes the sushi geez!!!! Felt like our waiter was rushing us out the door service, as if we had to be back at work in fifteen minutes!!!! The salmon sushi was bland at best it looks good. The one my girlfriend order was good and spicy, so that was a positive moment. If I cared to remember what the name was I would say it, but you know nonchalant here.  O' well, not like I'm on that side of town much anyway. I guess we never know until we try.
