On our way to Kailua Beach we decided to visit Beet Box Cafe for breakfast. I decided to try their green açaí bowl, as I've never had one before and I'm glad I did. There's lots of tables and chairs inside the cafe. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. The açaí base had a consistency similar to a smoothie, which made it slightly runny. Although I'm not typically a fan of runny açaí bowls, I found myself enjoying every bite. The açaí blend featured bananas, almond butter, spinach, and spirulina combined with almond milk. Topping the açaí bowl were an array of ingredients that added both texture and flavor. The granola provided a satisfying crunch, while the strawberries, blackberries, and papaya contributed the overall flavor. Toasted coconut and honey provided a sweet and nutty contrast that elevated the experience. I like that the Beet Box Cafe offers vegan options. For those seeking plant-based alternatives, Beet Box is one of the few in the islands that offer vegan and plant based meals. If you're in search of a place that offers not only delicious options but also caters to vegan preferences, Beet Box Cafe is a must-visit destination in Kailua.
