TAKE CASH!!! We went on a detour on our drive about the hills to find this place but disappointingly couldn’t stop for a drink as we had no cash :-( It really is a step back in time and in a lovely hidden away valley. Sad not to have sipped an ale this time.

The Dyffryn Arms is a rural gem that probably hasn't changed in 75 years or more. Just a one room bar selling Bass. The beer is served through a hatch from a barrel using a jug. If you appreciate pubs and real ale this should be a starting point to how the locals enjoyed drinking in the past. Very similar to the Seymour Arms, Witham Friary in Somerset. Visit before it is lost forever.
