Lovely atmosphere, however, I ordered chicken done in a creamy mushroom and tarragon sauce, but what was served up was a chicken breast in a thin gravy. I didn’t complain as I thought I had ordered the wrong dish. When I mentioned it to the manageress, she spoke to the chef and he said it was a creamy mushroom and tarragon sauce. I was given a very small discount and left it at that.

My wife, daughter and I chose to go for lunch at the Falls of Dochart Inn as it was listed on the Government's list of establishments that are enrolled in the"Eat Out To Help Out" scheme, offering 50% discount to encourage spending after restrictions were being lifted out of lockdown. However, when we received the bill, the discount hadn't been applied. When I asked about it, I was told that there was a sign at the bar (which was tiny) and that they were on the Government website as a mistake. We were not informed as we were taken to our seat, which we could have been, and we weren't offered a discount given the circumstances. It's not even shown on Facebook.
Very disappointed and put a damper on our first meal out in months. Feels like they were cheating us (and how many others?) and am still livid 8 hours after getting my bill!!!!
