Having had lunch and dinner at The George at Tiffield many times over the past year since it came into new ownership I can confirm the food, drink and hospitality is first class. The new owners are friendly, welcoming and have a great sense of humour, and the staff are lovely too. The food is excellent, even a bog standard sandwich is served with a flourish and care taken to make the plate look tempting. There is now fantastic outdoor space for seating and the interior of the pub has had a beautiful tasteful makeover from the old tired look it used to have, so whether you prefer to sit outside or inside you won't be disappointed.
Can't recommend highly enough. We aren't particularly local but still travel 30 mins regularly to visit this lovely village pub and it feels like our 'local'.
