My wife and I came here for the first time a few evenings ago (Thursday). We made reservations ahead of time, and the restaurant basically expects this. While the restaurant has a very nice selection of wines, we brought our own special bottle as we were celebrating a special occasion (the restaurant does charge a corking fee). We were greeted by the friendly hostess and seated immediately at a table for two towards the back. Our server, Ellie, arrived quickly and, observing our bottle, brought us wine glasses and a bottle tray. She was excellent all evening. For a starter, we ordered the grilled asparagus from the "small plates" menu. This was delicious. As a main dish, my wife ordered the baked Idaho trout while I ordered the pork ribs and polenta. All were very tasty, and the presentation was appetizing. Portions were just right. All in all, we enjoyed our special evening, and the service was excellent; attentive, without hovering. We will be back. I gave "Atmosphere" only four stars due to the rather noisy dining room, making it sometimes difficult to be heard, possibly due to acoustics and the fact that part of the kitchen area is right in the dining room. Just had one of the best meals I’ve eaten in an extremely long time, I couldn’t even wait to get home to write the review! First time to The Grange Community Kitchen, and I ordered the olives to start (unlike any olive I’ve ever tasted- they literally melted in my mouth), the crispy pork ribs, and the peanut butter pretzel cheesecake to finish. My waitress was super attentive and assuaged my fears when I asked if it would be appropriate to pick up the ribs and eat them with my hands- she promised it’s “casual” fine dining. I’m only in the area for a few days and I’m already considering going back. Check this place out if you want a delicious dinner!
