Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening. Weather was good so we were able to sit outside in the large beer garden. They had a large screen tv setup showing the sport too which was good. The place was busy and had a good atmosphere. Mix of both locals and tourists come to see Snowdonia. The only thing that let it down as the food. 8 of us ate and our food was pretty mixed but generally could have been better. It just felt a bit like it had been slapped on a plate. Portion sizes were not the same (2 people had lamb shank and both got different size lambs and then the smaller one had a bunch of extra potatoes to make up for it.) Also the pizza we had was burnt.I am sure it was a one off and if I am in the area again I will be back if for nothing else then the good drinks and garden

Pizzas were really disappointing when we visited recently. Definitely not ‘hand rolled’ as they’re advertised on the menu. The pizza was much better when we visited in December. Its still an alright spot to have a beer and watch the sport.
For a person coming to stay alone who just needs a stay can definitely choose .It's like a shared rooms .I felt comfortable as it's so cheap and good for money.I had a problem with toilet flush in room no 102 and when i asked in reception they immediately changed me to good room .Last but not least the heights hotel is one of the best place to stay for the tourist who can visit all sites in a one go.
