Such a great place for breakfasts and lunch, lovely staff and great music too! Love the decor too. We'll definitely be back Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Eggs Florentine
It was our first time visiting The Honeypot Cafe, we went on a busy Friday lunchtime but the service was excellent, a table was found for us straight away. I explained that we only had an hour as our dog was at the groomers, told that wasn't a problem. Our order was taken swiftly, the hot drinks arrived quickly shortly followed by our meals. The scrambled egg on toast was really good, nice fluffy eggs, and the burger and wedges were delicious, good quality burgers, wedges cooked just right. On every table there is a game of some sort to play eg scrabble, 3 balls in a maze, etc which I think is a fantastic idea, we had the maze, a puzzle I haven't played since I was very young. Lots of regulars were there and both servers greated everyone in a very friendly manner . We will definitely return. Only had coffee which was lovely. Great staff. I've eaten there before and the service and food is fabulous. Just one bugbear which is in most cafes is that when cleaning the tables the staff spray cleaning fluid which is then in the air and not great when you're having to breathe it in. Why not spray the cloth before you leave the counter and rinse the cloth in hot water? I struggle with breathing issues and in this day where we're aware about allergies in food there are other allergies that are hidden and sprays and scented candles etc can affect breathing difficulties. I think I embarrassed the lovely owner when I put the scarf in front of my mouth and was coughing but he just said that 'at least the table was clean'! Difficult thing to deal with and I did try to explain that I didn't like the spray and I should have chatted to him afterwards. Meal type: Other Price per person: £1–10 Atmosphere: 5
