I had an appointment at 1130 but wanted to get to Stevenson early as possible. I was looking for Alegria Cafe to grab a coffee and journal while I wait, but Alegria Cafe turned into a juice shop! When I went in, it gave me a Body Energy Club vibe except no supplements. The young girl with blonde hair at the counter was super friendly and helpful. She even told me that Body Energy Club sells some of their bottled drinks which I do recognize as I frequently go to Body Energy Club. I ended up getting The Almost Chocolate drink which has cacao, banana, almond butter, maca, medjooi dates, and almond milk ( you can add brown rice protein for $1). When I took a sip, I could totally taste the banana and something sour (maybe too much banana). I still prefer Body Energy Clubs Peanut or Almond Chocolate Monkey. They have their drinks on point. If I am craving for a yummy chocolate drink, I'd definetly go to Body Energy Club for sure. The prices at Body Energy Club is also better and has a set price point, but here at The Juice Truck it's not. It ranges from $7.50-12 I know I'm comparing this drink to Body Energy Club's drink and this is different, but it's similar in taste and ingredients. I will definetly come back and try out a fruity or vegetable drink.
Love visiting this spot when in steveston. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Food/juice is always fresh and well stocked. A must visit when in the area. Great to see locals returning back to their roots and supporting their community.
When I found out they opened in Richmond, I went to try right away. So far, I've tried blueberry matcha and mint chip smoothie and their spring rolls... they're all amazing! I can't wait to come back for more. The lady that helped me was super nice and gave her recommendations. Would definitely recommend to friends and will be coming back for sure.
