Enjoyed a lovely lunch, tastey food and great service. Will definitely be back.
Good place for a tea, a coffee or some food. Polite staff.
Visited The Kitchen for the first time today. Saw the trip advisor flag in the window and thought it must be good. Place looked lovely and at first the staff member was very helpful and gave me a menu and told me to take a seat. I ordered no.3, poached eggs, bacon, grilled tomato, toast with tea or coffee (it also said it came with ballymaloe relish). I got my tea first, lovely big cup, but dried ketchup on the handle, dried egg yolk on the tea pot, and stains inside the miniature milk bottle. I said I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and waited for the food. There was no ballymaloe relish and the eggs were watery (under cooked). Bacon was lovely and the toast too. I was going to say something until a male came out from the counter ( I believe he's the owner) he started giving out to the window cleaner. Then he went behind the counter and very loudly was criticising the staff member how she was cutting up salad and peppers, I kid you not!! I felt very uncomfortable because I could hear everything. The staff member seemed well able for him don't get me wrong but his loudness made it an uncomfortable experience. I went to the counter to pay and was going to say I wasn't happy with the food when the staff member asked "so how was everything" this is the norm everywhere else. But I wasn't asked. The only thing she said was "€7.95". I won't be returning and I won't be recommending it. I will also be leaving a review with Trip Advisor. Get your act together guys, no wonder the place was empty.
