Went for a Sunday roast dinner and it made sure I never return for food. The venue itself was lovely and staff seemed friendly enough but they love to have a chat amongst themselves. This just means go to the bar if you need any service then they’re attentive. Food was luke warm, veg was rock hard, cauliflower cheese sauce was like water soup and the odd beef choice to use sirloin did not work nowhere near as well as initially expected. There was also no baby changing facilities despite there being space for it. Understandably, not everywhere has to be family friendly but if you’re serving roast dinners on a Sunday in a big establishment, expect people with babies (I saw loads). As a result of this, we had to change our kids nappy in our car and it was a disaster. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

We had a great time at the Lansdown. It has a lovely, warm feel with great food and a good range of drinks. The staff were extremely accommodating of the many, many food allergies of our party, even finding an option off menu for one person. Would definitely recommend a visit!
