After a walk around George B. Dorr Museum of Natural History, many visitors stop by this restaurant. Offering nicely cooked bacon, lobster bisque and ravioli is the hallmark of Looking Glass Restaurant. You can order tasty blueberry pancakes, blueberry pie and French toasts. Order delicious wine, martinis or beer. A lot of visitors order good coffee or great tea.
There is a beautiful view from this place. The appealing staff meets you at this spot all year round. A lot of reviewers mention that the service is fine. Also, visitors recommend this restaurant because of adequate prices. The modern decor and calm atmosphere let clients feel relaxed here. But Looking Glass Restaurant has been rated below average by Google.

While in Bar Harbor, Maine, I ate at The Looking Glass Restaurant a total of 3 times. Twice for dinner, and once for breakfast. Here are my opinions on both meals: Breakfast - Excellent breakfast options. The eggs & omelets were very good. The pancakes seem to be a big fan favorite as well. You can also create your own breakfast based off of the La Carte part of the menu. Gluten free options are also available. Dinner - Food was tasty, but sometimes it did not come out as described. If they do not have a certain food or side, they sometimes substitute without asking the customer. If you are looking for something good to eat off the menu, go with the Filet Mignon. Unfortunately, the wait staff lacks experience and needs some improvement. This is all part of a growing restaurant, and business though, especially when hiring new workers. 3-3.5 stars overall. Not a bad place to catch a drink though, and you can truly enjoy the astonishing view of the harbor & the Atlantic Ocean.
