Really great family run free-house. (I will tell you first that my family owns this business but this will not sway my honest judgement) over the summer there is a pizza service till late and always some kind of entertainment during the weekend, Karaoke etc..the building has seen a lot of wear and tear over the years as the building has transformed many times over the years. but these issues are slowly being addressed bit by bit. they recently fitted new wooden doors to the entrance and now have reasonably sized outside seating area.the staff have always been personally helpfully to me but as they are my family I feel that I'm unable to judge this from a visitors point of view.local beers such as Betty Stoggs bitter and others as well as local lagers too.they have a pool table and darts board in the back room for the older visitors and also a few board games for children are stashed out there too. there is also a box full of pencils and pens to keep youngsters occupied.just a 10 minute walk down the hill is a lovely beach too, called kennack sands. and there's nothing better than walking up the hill on a hot summer's day to find a local watering hole when you get to the top. there is also a small gift/beach store next to the potters bar, also ran by the same people and they sell Cornish made trinkets, hand made pottery and plenty of beach goods for everyone from wetsuit hire to large kite hire, buckets, spades, but you get the idea.
