Nothing can be better than ordering nicely cooked fried oysters, belly pork and fried chicken. Come to this restaurant to try good caramel ice cream, belgian waffles and bread pudding. Food delivery is a big plus of The Publican. Get your meal started with delicious craft beer, desert wine or Mimosas. Here you can drink great chocolate frappe, grape juice or tea.

The success of this place would be impossible without the accommodating staff. Fabulous service is something clients like here. Attractive prices are what you are to pay for your meal. At this spot, visitors can enjoy the cool atmosphere and modern decor. This place! Came for dinner and as to be expected, it was really good. The brunch though is worth the longer review. We had the Saturday brunch which was a more limited menu but it was incredible!! Our group had a bunch of the items so I tried the mushroom eggs, waffles, biscuits, salad and more. The mushroom egg dish and biscuit with jam and clotted cream was SO GOOD. The flavors were outstanding and I can't wait to come back to try the expanded brunch Sunday men
Solid brunch spot with a casual vibe (long tables where you are seated with other people) and booths. Service was fantastic, the portions were a good size, and prices were reasonable. The Publican also had a solid brunch selection with tasty mimosas, bloody mary's, and bellinis, delicious pork belly hash and sweet and savory options that we all enjoyed. Great spot!
The Publican has been on my "to get to" list for quite a while. We finally made it there and we are glad we did. After looking at the many options on the dinner and drink menus we opted for the Chef's Menu and a Dunkerton's Perry Cider and a non-alcoholic drink called Tea for Two. Both drinks were enjoyable. The cider was a pear cider and the Tea for Two was a mix of two teas with lemon and soda water. The Chef's Menu didn't disappoint. We were able to try: - bread, butter and ham - oysters from Alaska - a salad of beets, grapefruit and ricotta - sausage - bbq carrots with a yogurt sauce - an open face sandwich of some sort (we didn't catch the explanation provided by the server) - clams with French bread - a cherry almond sundae Everything was delicious and turned out to be just the right amount of food. It was a great value at $65 a person. The one hiccup in the night was when there was a lengthy delay between courses. Our waitress did a great job of taking care of us. I noticed that she was noticing the delay and saw her have a couple of conversations to get us back on track. In the meantime she brought us a second round of our drinks on them and when things got back on track one of the floor managers checked on us twice. Things happen but we appreciated their efforts to make things right. It's not an inexpensive meal but it is worth the money. Definitely give The Publican a try if you haven't already.
