This is our go-to spot for delicious and reasonably-priced happy hour oysters, and it never disappoints! We walked in around 6pm on a Sunday and were seated immediately at the bar, which allowed us to peek at the different available oyster varieties and the wood-fired oven. We ordered one dozen of miyaki oysters from Puget Sound, WA (which were firm and meaty) and one dozen of quivet oysters from Cape Code, MA (which were plump and creamy)--both outstanding stars on the happy hour menu where oysters are half-price, served with standard cocktail sauce with freshly grated horse, and lemon garnish. Other items from the happy hour menu also piqued our interest: jamon serrano toast (topped with cilantro, sliced in two, perfect for sharing) and clam casino, both very economical for the delicacies that they are! We also ordered the Bronzino on a whim, which was served whole after being fired up in the wood oven, paired with white wine and Prosecco from the happy hour menu. For the side dish, we ordered Brussel sprouts, which was served in a healthy-sized portion, well-seasoned, and done to perfection. What I would like to see is the Plat Du Jour being offered on weekends as well--some of those dishes look fire and we definitely would have ordered them had they been available when we were there. Although the items on the happy hour menu are definitely a steal, this restaurant is still very upscale which is reflected in the ambience and regular menu pricing. Overall, highly satisfied with the consistency of the River Oyster Bar establishment--will come here again to fix my next oyster craving!

Should be #1 in Seafood Restaurants in Miami- Happy Hour and sitting at the bar where oysters are shucked is the way to go. ALWAYS tasty and fresh variety of oysters and Great Drinks. Everything on the menu is delish. I do miss the Duck tacos , but the Carnita tacos are mouth watering as well.
