Karl Johans gate can be on your route by default, the guests' recommendation is to visit this restaurant. British food is nice here. The chef at The Scotsman cooks tasty fish & chips, hamburgers and salmon. To order perfectly cooked friands and good gâteau is a truly good idea. This place will offer you delicious draft beer, wine or cider. Great coffee is among the best drinks to try.

Musicians make live music in the evening. The nice staff shows a high level of hospitality at this spot. Enjoyable service is something that visitors note in their comments. Prices are found attractive here. You will definitely appreciate the pleasant atmosphere and homey decor. But the rating for this restaurant isn't high on TripAdvisor.

Cosy brown pub offering fantastic pub food all day, with a huge beer selection from both local & international breweries. Velkommen!
Your average pub with average food. Good location for people watching if you can get a seat outside.
Near Karl Johan gate, The Scotsman is touted as a popping Scotch pub and whiskey bar. There are two floors and even patio seating, so it was pretty easy to snag a high top and then order at the bar. On the menu, they list maybe like 5 whiskeys, but they have much more on their shelves. Too bad some of the bartenders I talked to didn't seem to be too knowledge on the selection, but nonetheless at least I was able to settle on one I wanted. The bartenders were more knowledgeable on their beers and they have a few different ones from all over on tap. For food, I really enjoyed their wings, they were by far one of the most tender I've had, with the meat easily coming off the bone. The "hot" sauce was not too hot, so I actually enjoyed it a lot. Get place for some bar food, beer, and to catch some football (not the American kind).
