Staff where really friendly and nice atmosphere but food wasnt great beef was so tough a steak knife couldnt cut it. left very dissatisfied wont be going back. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Chips

The Talbot Inn The Talbot is an excellent traditional pub just off the A1. There was a very warm and friendly welcome in the pub from John and his team, and the regulars. This is a real gem of a local pub, popular and busy. We ate a tasty evening meal in the pub - there is a theme each night eg pizza, grill, pie, in addition to the menu. The food is excellent value for really good quality. We had such a good time we returned the next night. We are sure we will return. Enjoyed watching the darts with the locals. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
