We love natural wines and the list at Ten Bells do not disappoint! $1 Oysters, perfect! Tapas menu, I can eat anything they had on that list. We really enjoyed our first time and we will be back!
Nice to little spot for happy hour oysters. Super convenient from the F Train. Can get packed but look for a spot in the back and enjoy some appetizers with your wine.
The happy hour deals are disappointing, but more-so, their bartenders were horrible! I went on a Thursday evening and it was packed by 6:30. It was a littler strange that there was no host and the bartenders wouldn't even make eye contact as I stood in the entryway by the bar. I waited politely for seats for about ten minutes before my friend arrived, only to find out I would have needed to ask the bartender to put me on a waiting list for them. The bartender made no effort to let me know I was standing around for nothing. The next open seats went to two women who had no wait time because she showed up and asked to be seated. I said, "hey, I've been waiting for like 20 minutes!" and instead of apologizing for not being clear about the policy or really anything he made a dismissive point that it had not literally been twenty minutes. Rather than argue about it we just left. Their credit card machine was down so I suspect that made all the servers a little more stressed, but this type of behavior was beyond what I consider a reasonable "oh well, he's having a bad night" snappy response. I would not recommend this place to anyone without a reservation.
