The fish and chips were better than average. The hush puppies were also good, which I had along with the crab cake. Unfortunately, about half of the menu items (which were the ones that I wanted) were marked as "unavailable" and they were out of buns for crab cake sandwich. Nice selection of beers, including seasonal brews. The exterior and interior motif were very nice and the whole place had a cool vibe about it.

The Wharf Rat has always been a go-to location in Fells Point. As a Fells Point tour guide, this place was among my favorites of places to recommend to those visiting the neighborhood. Before the pandemic I would go there for their selection of beers, house-made pizza, and classic pub foods. During the pandemic they continue their food service and beer selection while serving you at a private table outside. I cannot wait for this neighborhood to return to normalcy so I can continue to frequent this establishment. Even during the epidemic, do not exclude Wharf Rat from your rotation.
