Super good ramen, friendly staff
I had a great Buddha Bowl - fresh ingredients, perfect quantity. The place is great and the food delicious, I had a muffin as well - gluten free. Very good choice. :)
It was my first visit to the cafe. I had a chocolate chip muffin and a mango/coconut milk lassi. Both were terrible. The chocolate chip muffin was overcooked and dry. The chocolate chips were burned. I looked at the other muffins before I chose that one. The others were an inch high. The staff at Workshop Vegetarian Cafe have no baking talent. The lassi was not a lassi. The server pointed out to me that it was a vegan lassi. I asked what made it vegan. She replied, "We use coconut milk instead of yogurt." Most lassis contain yogurt. Yogurt is on their menu, so why not use yogurt and make a real lassi? I ordered the large size which turned out to be a glass jar filled to its brim with ice cubes and about 3 tablespoons of "lassi." The mango/coconut milk "lassi" tasted like a pumpkin milkshake, what little there was of it, and I swear I could taste some kind of spice. At approximately $5, their "lassi" was very disappointing. I felt ripped off and I told the server their "lassi" was a rip-off. Reasons: it wasn't a lassi; it was advertised as a mango lassi, but it didn't taste like mango; and there were only 3 tablespoons maximum of liquid in a glass jar of ice boulders. The server's uninterested expression was as inexplicable as their "lassi." It will be my last visit to the cafe.
