Village Green is a great attraction for tourists who come to eat at this bar after long walks. To taste mouthwatering haddock, lobster sandwiches and lobster rolls is a truly good idea. Order tasty French toasts, honey buns and cream buns. Thirsty Whale will offer you delicious craft beer, red ale or draft beer. It might be nice to try great lemonade, cold brew coffee or blonde roast coffee.

Choose between indoor and outdoor seating. The fabulous service and the courteous staff are its great benefits. Visitors of this place note that they found prices low. You will definitely like the homey atmosphere and divine decor. This spot has got Google 4.4 according to the guests' opinions.

Rude “host” to say the least. Apparently they’re told not to allow anyone in to have a drink at the bar unless they are going to order food. I had already eaten and wanted to stop in for a drink but was denied a seat at the bar because they only wanted to use that space for customers who were dining. Too many other choices in town to be turned away like that. It’s no wonder the place was only about half capacity on a Friday night in June.

Our favorite place in Bar Harbor!! We had to go back again before we left, and we will definitely be coming again. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and amazing staff! Our bartender, Hannah, was the best! We got the fish and chips, pesto chicken sandwich, fried class, and sweet potato fries. The food was better than other more expensive places down the road. Definitely a must visit in Bar Harbor!

I am all about asking the locals where they like to eat. So when the 1st recommendation was closed we asked some old man walking his dog where he likes to go eat lunch. He pointed us to a couple spots but then he realized that he spends a lot of time eating at the thirsty whale. We drove down the street and came upon the thirsty whale which was a tavern. The thought of having regular old pub fare were dashed as we bit into the lobster roll for the 1st time.  I've only got one word... amazing. The bread was perfectly buttered and toasted. And the lobster was not drowning in mayonnaise.  And with a side of French fries that were delicious, lunch was exactly what I was after for my 1st time in Maine. My girlfriend ordered a Reuben on rye with Swiss cheese and needless to say, they nailed that perfectly as well.  She opted for a side of Caesar salad and it was made just right. I am stoked my 1st my 1st lobster roll was with the Thirsty Whale Tavern.
