Located inside golden mall this place is a must place to come for dumplings. They had a lot of great options and reasonable prices. We got lamb dumplings and they were so flavorful and juicy. Really good.

This place was hard to find in the Golden Mall. I mean I had trouble finding the mall overall then after wandering more I finally found the entrance to the basement. Then I was confused which stall was which. I didn't read most of the reviews so I was a bit surprised by the location and state of it. There's a lot of food vendors in this fairly cramped area. The original Xian's famous foods is here next to this shop and there's more dumplings and hand pulled noodles shops. It's all northern Chinese food which I am not as familiar with.

The menu does have English and pictures so even with the limited English by the staff she understood my order. And she was really friendly. I opted for the dozen lamb and green squash dumplings for $6. I struck up a conversation with a gal who frequents this place and she told me its the freshest vendor for dumplings as they make it fresh and cooked to order. They are all boiled. The dumplings were delicious with the hot chili oil on the table. The lamb was seasoned perfectly and the skin of the dumpling was not too thick or thin. I am not a huge fan of dumplings normally but these are the type that would change my mind.

Just be opened minded if you decide to come here. And I would advise skipping the washroom. Just pull up a stool and eat like the locals do. It's actually a pretty cool experience.

You could choose up to three ingredients from a picture list and have the dumplings made fresh, or choose from a menu. The pork, pickled mustard green and chive dumplings were the boiled Beijing type. We ate them doused in chilli oil and black vinegar, and they're as good a Beijing dumpling as I've ever had.
